From the car park at the Ebenalp cable car, take the cable car up to the top station and from there follow the hiking trail towards Schäfler. Before the final ascent, there is a small viewing platform with a rock on the right, from which an impressive view opens up over the surrounding mountain landscape. Far below, the jagged rock pinnacles drop away, while behind them the green hills of the Appenzell region spread out into the distance.
