From the top station of the Ebenalp cable car, follow the hiking trail downhill and pass through the rock underpass. Then continue along the path directly beside the cliff face. After the last bend around the rock, you suddenly find yourself in front of the mountain restaurant Aescher, which appears to be embedded into the cliff.
