In the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Lavaux lies the picturesque wine village of Féchy directly on the shore of Lake Geneva. For more than 800 years, viticulture has determined the economic and cultural life of this place. The characteristic terraced vineyards drop steeply toward the lake, crossed by stairway paths generations of winegrowers have carved. Each year these slopes produce magnificent white wines – Chasselas is the main variety.

Hikers delight in numerous paths leading through the vineyards offering spectacular views of the lake. Small wine taverns and restaurants serve local cuisine with wines from the region. The architecturally charming houses of Féchy are partly over 300 years old and display traditional building methods. The place is a center for wine lovers and culturally interested visitors.

May through October is ideal time for a visit. Train connections link Féchy with Lausanne. An unforgettable experience for all who love wine, history, and lake panoramas.
