Saint-Saphorin is a small wine village in the heart of the Lavaux on Lake Geneva and is considered one of the most beautiful villages in the canton of Vaud. The village nestles against the vineyard slope; old stone houses, narrow lanes and a fountain on the tiny village square create an image of Mediterranean stillness. In summer, guests sit beneath the vines drinking local Chasselas.

The village is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Lavaux vineyard terraces and lies on the classic Lavaux hiking trail between Rivaz and Chexbres. The surrounding vineyard slopes include some of Switzerland's most awarded wine plots. The main road runs directly past the village; the true atmosphere is experienced by walking through the lanes on foot.

Saint-Saphorin is accessible by S-Bahn (line S1, stop Saint-Saphorin) from Lausanne in around 20 minutes. By car, follow the lake road from Lausanne towards Vevey. Limited parking in the village; parking on the main road is possible.
