The Roseg Glacier (Vadret da Roseg in Romansh) lies in the canton of Graubünden on the north side of the Bernina mountain group and is one of Switzerland's most beautiful and accessible glaciers. The Roseg valley is a car-free natural paradise with clear streams, alpine meadows and dramatic rock walls. The hike through the Roseg valley leads to spectacular views of the glacier system with its characteristic crevasses and seracs.

The path to the Hotel Restaurant Roseg Gletscher is well-marked and follows comfortable hiking trails through the valley. The hike takes approximately 2-3 hours one-way (7 km with 200 m elevation gain). The hotel offers fine dining with Engadin specialties. From the hotel, more challenging hikes to alpine lakes and glaciers can be undertaken. Winter hikes are also popular – the valley in snow is magical.

Access is by Rhaetian Railway hourly from Chur to Pontresina railway station (approximately 2.5 hours). From Pontresina the valley entrance is reachable in 20 minutes' walk. By car you can approach from Chur via the Oberengadin Pass or from the south via the Val Müstair. The Roseg region is easily accessible by RhB bus; parking is available in Pontresina.
