In the heart of Lauterbrunnen Valley, the crystal-clear water of the Spissbach falls approximately 40 meters with considerable force – a waterfall that captivates through its wild, authentic beauty. The Bernese Oberland landscape frames this location with gentle meadows above and dramatic cliff walls below. The roaring water and damp spray mist characterize a place full of natural energy.

Well-marked hiking paths lead from the valley to various viewpoints of the waterfall. The distance is relatively short and beginner-friendly, which gives families with children good chances of success. The path crosses textbook-beautiful Alpine meadows with flowers, rare grasses, and alpine wild herbs. Occasionally you encounter ibex on the slopes.

From May to September is the best season when water masses are strongest and weather remains stable. The Lauterbrunnen Valley is world-famous and attracts hikers, climbers, and nature lovers. Restaurants nearby offer regional Swiss cuisine.
