The Engstligen Falls near Adelboden are among the widest waterfalls in Switzerland: the Engstlige plunges here in two powerful cascades over around 100 metres along a broad rocky ledge, with spray that reaches spectators when the wind turns. The falls are particularly dramatic in early summer when snowmelt swells the flow.

A well-maintained path leads from the village of Adelboden to the viewing platform below the falls in around 30 minutes on foot. Those wishing to go higher can take the gondola up to Engstligenalp – a broad high plateau at around 1'960 metres with views of the surrounding peaks. The plateau is known for its botanical diversity and ice-age-shaped karst landscape.

The Engstligen Falls are reachable from Adelboden on foot in around 30 minutes or by PostBus. Adelboden is accessible by PostBus from Frutigen in around 25 minutes; Frutigen is reachable from Spiez by train in around 15 minutes. Parking is available in Adelboden.
