Parpan at around 1'510 metres on the same plateau as Lenzerheide, just minutes away, is the quieter, smaller sibling village. The village has an intact character with old Graubünden houses and a stillness that is hard to find in Lenzerheide during peak season. Parpan is part of the Arosa Lenzerheide ski area and is overlooked by most tourists.

The direct view from the village edge over the Lenzerheide mountain panorama – with the Rothorn in the background – is striking. Hiking trails lead directly from Parpan to the high-level routes of the region and to the Alp Sanaspans. The village offers a few holiday apartments and an inn, but no major hotel infrastructure – ideal for visitors who want to use the ski areas and trails without the bustle.

Parpan is reachable by PostBus from Chur in around 40 minutes or from Lenzerheide in just a few minutes. By car, take the cantonal road from Chur. Parking available in the village.
