In the Haslital of the Bernese Oberland, the Rosenlaui Gorge traverses a fascinating rock landscape of gray limestone and bubbling mountain water. This approximately 130-meter-deep gorge was carved by water from the Rosenlaui Glacier into the rock walls and represents a geological textbook. A secured rock path leads through tunnels and along overhanging cliff walls.

Access to the gorge is relatively easy and suitable for families. The path is secured with wooden railings where needed and partly blasted into the rock. At several points, breathtaking views of waterfalls and rock formations open up. The UNESCO World Heritage Site region of Jungfrau-Aletsch houses this valuable natural site.

Best visited from June to September when paths are dry and waterfalls are fullest. The path is stroller-friendly to a certain point. A restaurant at the gorge offers local specialties.
