Flims sits on a broad sunny terrace above the Vorderrhein Valley and is known for the turquoise Caumasee and as part of the large Laax-Flims-Falera ski area. The village at around 1'100 metres combines an elegant tourist offer with direct access to one of Switzerland's most spectacular natural landscapes – the Rhine Gorge – and an extensive trail network.

The Caumasee in the forest below the village is one of the most sought-after bathing lakes in the Graubünden Alps: the water glows in an extraordinary turquoise and is pleasantly warm in summer. In winter, Flims is part of the large Laax ski area, world-renowned especially among freestyle and snowboard enthusiasts. The Crestasee and the Cresta trail are further highlights of the area.

Flims is reachable by PostBus from Chur in around 45 minutes. By car, take the Reichenau/Tamins motorway exit and drive via Trin to Flims. Parking is available in the village.
