Grevasalvas is a small seasonal hamlet at around 1'980 metres between Sils Maria and the Maloja Pass – not a year-round village, but a summer alp with old stone houses occupied seasonally. The position on a quiet plateau with a direct view over the upper Engadine and the Bergell makes Grevasalvas one of the most atmospheric viewpoints in the Upper Engadine.

The hike from Sils Maria to Grevasalvas takes around 1.5 hours and passes through open high-altitude terrain with wide views. Continuing to the Lunghin Pass – the only point in the Alps from which water flows towards three different seas (Rhine to the North Sea, Inn to the Danube and Black Sea, Maira to the Mediterranean) – is one of the most meaningful short walks in Graubünden.

Grevasalvas is reachable from Sils Maria on foot in around 1.5 hours. Sils Maria is reachable by PostBus from St. Moritz in around 20 minutes. Motor vehicles have no direct access to Grevasalvas.
