Scuol in the Lower Engadine is the centre of Romansh culture in the canton of Graubünden and is known for its mineral springs, used medicinally since the 16th century. The village at around 1'250 metres combines an intact old town with medieval sgraffito facades, a modern thermal bath and direct access to the Swiss National Park.

The Bogn Engiadina Scuol is one of Switzerland's largest thermal baths, with indoor and outdoor pools, a sauna landscape and treatments based on the Lower Engadine's mineral springs. From Scuol, the castles of Tarasp and Ardez and the romantic village of Guarda are easily reached. The Lower Engadine offers one of Switzerland's finest hiking routes: the Via Engiadina.

Scuol is at the eastern end of the Engadine line of the Rhaetian Railway and reachable from Chur in around 2 hours. By car, take the Flüela Pass road or drive through the Lower Engadine. Bookings for the thermal bath: bognengiadina.ch
